Prof. dr. Anton Vedder

Professor of ICT Law

Anton Vedder performs research into the ethical and legal preconditions of the acceptance of healthcare technologies. He focuses on issues of privacy, (the distribution of) responsibilities and liabilities and ideals of self-management.

Anton Vedder is a professor of ICT Law at KU Leuven and, in addition, Associate Professor of Ethics and the Regulation of Technology for one day per week at TILT, the Tilburg Institute for Law Technology and Society. His teaching and research focus on risks and regulation, ethics and law, ethics of technology, bio-ethics, and the legitimacy of non-traditional schemes of regulation, governance and enforcement. His publications on these subjects appear in international and national journals and books. He has also organized international seminars, workshops and conferences.
