Works for Embedded Systems Innovation by TNO
I joined ESI in 2005 to manage ‘industry-as-laboratory’ research projects. My initial involvement was with projects to enhance reliability in future products and system level evolvability, with NXP and Philips Healthcare respectively. My current projects focus on increasing the rate of innovation with Philips Healthcare and information centric systems for situational awareness with Thales.
I studied Electronics at Liverpool University in the UK, and subsequently pursued an industrial career focusing on high performance computing for mission critical applications. I led important projects for commercial, military and aerospace clients and defined a product family for demanding embedded applications. I have wide experience in working with customers, suppliers and development partners worldwide. In 1999, I joined Sun Microsystems to manage the development of products for redundant computing and internet infrastructure.
