I study consciousness and the brain.

I am author of about 90 papers on visual perception, consciousness and brain function in journals ranging from Nature, Science, or PNAS to more specialized or theoretical journals, such as Trends in Cognitive Sciences. 

I also authored a book (in Dutch), entitled 'De Vrije Wil Bestaat Niet' (Free will does not exist).
