About Euvision Technologies
Euvision Technologies is a spin-off from the ISIS research group on image and video search engines of the University of Amsterdam. ISIS has been evaluated co-best in the last two international research evaluations, from 6 and 1 year ago over all computer science research in the Netherlands. ISIS has 40 members including 20 PhD students.
As of 2011, for eight years in a row, the Impala Core Video search engine has consistently been in the top three of world’s premiere competition on video search engines, TRECvid. TRECvid is organized by the US bureau of Standards, with participation from leading academic and industrial research labs from all continents.
Euvision obtained the exclusive right from the University for sublicensing the Impala Core engines and for modifying its source codes. We consider two recent developments of importance:
- The accuracy of our search engines doubles every three years – provided that enough computing power is available.
- The required computation time to process a single video key frame by our search engines has become close to negligible as of 2011.
Therefore, the time for entering the market for visual search with our engines is now. Our inked customers are currently integrating our software in stealth mode.
Mission Statement: Euvision Technologies delivers the most superior computer vision search technology that exists – and we can deliver it today.
