Virtual Physiological Human Conference 2016

Monday, September 26, 2016 - 8:00am to Wednesday, September 28, 2016 - 5:30pm

VPH2016 offers an exciting program of state-of-the art science & engineering in computational (bio)medicine, ranging from foundational research on multiscale modelling of human (patho) physiology, via underpinning research on data science and infrastructures for the virtual physiological human, to clinical applications.

The theme of this edition of the conference is Translating VPH to the Clinic. The conference offers room for all aspects of VPH related research, but the theme returns in the structure of the conference program. Each day will start with a keynote speaker. Next, on the first two days, the program offers two parallel thematic sessions, dedicated to Personalised Medicine, the Digitial Patient, Systems Medicine, and In-Silico Clinical Trials. These sessions will contain a mix of invited speakers and contributed lectures, covering both ground on basic VPH research and related to the theme of the conference. Finally, there will be focussed symposia, each day 4 in parallel, one half dedicated to VPH research at large, and the other half to a medical specialism, strongly linked to the theme of the conference. The conference features a poster session and an industry session, during the afternoon of the first and second day of the conference. On the second day of the conference, the VPH-institute will have its general assembly. Finally, the venue offers opportunities for pre- and post-conference events.
